Historical roots for domestic violence
Hi so today I am going to talk about the historical roots for domestic violence. Domestic violence or violence that is expressed using intimate acts is unfortunately as timeless as history. Rape and other sexual exploitation have been used to demoralize groups of people as in German concentration camps, on North America-bound slave ships, and in World War II Japanese brothels filled with "comfort women." Virtually all the world's societies view or have viewed women as less valuable than men. From "honor" killings of women for being rape victims or having premarital sex in some countries, to women being omitted from serving on juries in the United States until 1701 and prevented from voting until 1920, the view that women are somehow second-class citizens encourages mistreatment of women. Now a days it is not any better, people think it is ok to hurt people or other things to people and I don't think it is right.

Numbers by Rachel Ward: my opinion
Hi so I when assigned a project to read a book with a teen as the main character and I have to wright about if the teen is believable or not. The main characters name is Jem, and I think Jem is half and half (in the middle) because she acts like a normal teen but she can see when people are going to die. I would be more on the believable side because she reminds me of a really shy person that wants friends but is scared and does not like school. There are some things that mad me think she was not believable. This is why I think she is half and half.

Miss Representation: How I felt.
Hi so today we are going to talk about how I felt about Miss Representation.
How I felt about Miss Representation is that I was glad that they were trying to fix's the way girls get treated by so people. The reason that I was glad was because I see it all over girls getting tread poorly and I hate it. I also was glad because in one of the gym classes I was in there was a guy and he was in an all girls group and I was in that group, he was mad. We where doing soft ball and all the girls where having a hard time hitting the ball, then he yelled at us "why do they let girls play boy sports" I was mad. After that the teacher dealt with him. This is how I felt about Miss Representation.

Hyperbole in "Miss Representation"
The movie that my class and I watched was called "Miss Representation". The definition of hyperbole is an extravagant statement or figure of speech not intended to be taken literally. In the movie the filmmaker agaves how girls in the media get treated poorly. My device is hyperbole and one of the examples I found "If all the girls worked together we could fix the worlds problems." What they are doing was by saying the sentence before is they where over exaggerating because if all the girls worked together not all of the worlds problems would be solved.
